The Paleolithic diet or Paleo diet is not another fad diet. This lifestyle goes way back to the caveman era, where the hunter and gatherers only ate meat, fish, nuts, leafy greens, vegetables, and seeds. There were no processed foods, grains, cereal, or candy. The Paleo diet doesn’t require you to count a single calorie and allows you to eat until you are happy and full. Going “Paleo” lessens the body’s glycemic load, has a healthy ratio of saturated-to-unsaturated fatty acids, increases vitamin and nutrient consumption, and contains an optimal balance of protein, fat, and carbohydrates.
