How does It work?
The laser is absorbed by the pigment in the hair. The energy produced by the laser is converted to heat which damages the hair follicles. The hair follicle is what produces hair and so by damaging the hair follicle, there is a permanent decrease in hair growth.
During laser hair removal, a laser emits pulses of highly concentrated light directly into the hair follicle. The pigment, or melanin, in each follicle absorbs the light and converts it into heat energy. This intense heat destroys the hair and makes it impossible for the follicle to grow hair again.During laser hair removal, a laser emits pulses of highly concentrated light directly into the hair follicle. Because dark hair has more pigment and absorbs more heat, it responds better to laser hair removal treatments than light or fine hair. However, most skin colors and types can be treated successfully with the XEO Laser.
What I can expect?
This newest generation laser minimizes any burning sensation since the attachment head is cold water cooled.
Treatment sessions may last 15-45 minutes. You can expect a pink or reddish painless discoloration of treated areas, usually lasting several hours. Laser hair removal usually requires a series of two to six treatments. The interval between treatments will vary depending on the location on your body that's being treated. You may be asked to avoid sun exposure for a short time afterward, depending upon the area treated. You'll be provided specific instructions at the time of treatment.
