Let’s Talk about the Summer Skin You’re In

Print

So how can you give your skin the healing and rejuvenation it deserves after a fun summer of saltwater, UV rays, wine, wind, laughter, and outdoor adventures? Here are a few treatments that can help you look (and feel) more like a fresh spring than a looming autumn.

Botox and Dysport

Botox and Dysport are both non-invasive, FDA approved cosmetic procedures that involve a very fine needle and a gentle injection of deep muscle relaxers and collagen-stimulating treatments into the deep wrinkles around the mouth and forehead. For about four months after the procedure, new collagen and relaxed muscles can smooth the creases and restore youthful elasticity to the skin.

Juvederm

Juvederm is a dermal filler that restores lost volume to aging or sagging skin. The results of this simple injection last for about six months and can also add fullness to the lips.

Mild disruptors

It may sound counterintuitive, but gently disturbing the skin’s deeper layers can support skin health by encouraging new growth and cell turnover. Micro-abrasion treatments draw tiny needles across the surface of the face, causing microscope punctures and invisible damage that encourage the collagen required for healing and regeneration.

RF waves

The deeper cells of the skin can also be disrupted by even less invasive approaches that send sound or radio waves into the skin to gently heat and break up damaged cell parts and toxins and encourage regrowth.
